Theyre using Rydale sorters. You can buy em on ebay. He also has a website. You can watch em in action on youtube.

Holy Cow! You weren't kidding fistful! They start at 500 bucks! There was another guy on you Tube that showed how to make a sorter. I can't find it now, but will keep looking!

You guys keep talking about the little home machine and the guy hoarding, I'm talking about the guy with the BIG machine. He is selling now and getting deliveries from brinks to his own warehouse. That guy is raking it in!
When you think about it, you either have to sell copper before it can be melted, or much after. Copper prices will plummet when they initially release the floodgates. Making money selling pennies by the thousands like that guy is... its just free money!

the Ryedale is just one type of "home" comparitor. Coinstar uses the same/similar technology along with most sorting machines. There was a clip that showed a dozen sorting machines in "Adam Young's armored car warehouse" - those could easily be modified, if the function is not already built in, to sort for copper.
If you wanna make some BIG $, come out with a all-in-one comparator/sorting machine for consumers that starts around the $99 price point.

Can he be compared to people holding silver well before 1964 hit?

it's funny you mention that wulffy11 ! I was JUST explaining the process to my significant other and used silver as the timeline/playbook. Silver was/is an industrial metal (just like copper). Nobody thought silver would skyrocket the way it did.
It's tough to research what the psyche of society at large regarding the move from silver to copper/clad. I'm almost tempted to go to the library to look up old news stories from the late 60's on the topic. Obviously there was debate starting way before the legislation passed. Looking for the all important clues to help avoid pitfalls and the repetition of the failures that occurred. I wouldn't mind being poised to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity.
....With that being said - if any of the "old-timers"* would like to chime in regarding their experiences and observations from the early 60's, I might start a new thread dedicated to their stories.
* if "old-timer" isn't a good term to use - please don't hesitate to correct me... Just a 33 year old whipper-snapper anyways... lol
