Poll Question
Who checks the buy/sell/trade sections? And how often? Why not if you don't. CHEERS guys/gals. Moved from Precious Metals & Bullion forum to Suggestions and Feedback forum. While the topic will not be made sticky, this is the best forum for a topic that may include feedback or suggestions. Results

I voted never because I'm fairly new to the forum and just passed the 250 post mark to be able to do so... if I've been on for 90 days (which I need to check). As sson as I am able, I will check regularly to see what's being offered.

Often. Not particularly looking for anything specific but you never know what might be of interest. Recently I was able to help OldSkoolMadSkilz in his "Morgans for Morgans" thread. He now has 7 that he didn't have and out of the 7 I rec'd I ended up with 3 that I didn't have. It feels good to be able to help out fellow members for nothing more than the cost of postage.

I voted every now and then. It seems that there used to be more stuff. I guess that people just don't have the time or want to sell right now. I probably check it once a week, which is probably often by most peoples definition but less often than I am on the forum. I am I looking for something I always check here first as I would rather buy from a fellow member.

Related question, do you have to have a photo bucket account to post pictures on listings here? I tried once and couldnt get the pictures to work or figure out how to post them without a photo bucket account so that was kind of the end of that

I check every now and then. I wish there was more coin trading activity. I Registered to CCF a little over a month ago, have more than 50 posts but less than 250, so not enough to participate fully. I can only post in Wants, and reply in Trades, but not vice-verse. Though I can post in Wants, what I really want to do is post in Trades. But it looks like I can post my Trades in the Wants. Now I am confused at the way things work in the Wants list, Sometimes I don't see where it specifies if a Want list is for Trade, Buy or Gift. So it appears to me that, at least technically, I can post my Trades in the Want list Maybe I will just keep checking in and waiting to hit the 90 day, 250 post mark. I hope to see more activity in the Want/Trades section.

Why is the "buy sell trade" section completely locked down?

I use the far left hand thread topic bar (Recent Forum Topics) and when something catches my interest I'll look further into it. I guess you could call that often.

I have the B/S/T bookmarked & check it 3X daily. CCF has preference over other venues, for me. I've scored bullion, Lg. cents V, buf & Jeffs from here. Foreign notes & coins, as well. And members e-crater pages keeps me looking. Some neat trades and gracious gifts. Thanks to all.

I miss the way it use to be when sellers could sell making some descent deals for us buyers out there that don't like paying the ebay premium. I voted 'not often"

I voted for "every now and then." I usually looked here first before going and mining ebay.

I do it frequently because, like some people have mentioned: 1) You never know what other offer or need. 2) It's always better to work/help out fellow member 3) Eliminate fees 4) Safety & Trust. I've never have a single problem dealing on CCF BST section. More than half of coins (up to 75% in quantities, about 50% in dollar value) I acquire while a CCF members come from BST section. I don't sell or set a trade offer thread because of time and the complication of picture loading. I do wish some how a simpler picture uploading process.... but I can't expect ebay picture loading capability when this is FREE. Btw, I suggest to have this thread sticky so that everyone can give feed back and help improve the BST section.

I agree about the sticky thing. All CCF members are here for the same reasons and would be nice to be able to improve the section. I agree, it is a pain to upload pictures, so most of the time I dont bother, but its sad because most of the time I would like too. It would be nice to see an 80% beside members that check it out everytime they log in, even just to browse. What better way to improve your collection than right here with people within your own family.

I don't understand what it so difficult about uploading. I can upload an image in less than 15 seconds.

I think its the resizing the image.... I do have another question. I realize that this poll would be used as feedback, but I really don't see very many people answering this in this section. This is kind of a section that you would specifically go to unrelated to this poll. Can this be moved to the main coin forum instead? That way we can get a wider spectrum of answers from more family?
