While cruising my favorite site (The Bay) I found a Morgan that looked suspiciously like the '88-O VAM-7A I had won a couple of weeks ago. The photo was taken at a misleading angle but the reverse matched. I bid thirty-something and ended up the high bidder. The coin arrived today dropped in a plastic baggie in a regular envelop. To my joy it was, in fact a great looking VAM-7A in much better shape than my first one. I'm sharing this because I know how we all love our hobby and WOOHOOO!moments are cherished. I'm thinking it's no worse than a VF-30 and possibly higher. My question is will the minor rim ding on the reverse @ 10 o'clock cause it to receive a "details" grade. I plan on sending it to NGC for grading since they now attribute "Hit List 40" Morgans. From checking the VAM World site it appears the NGC has never graded a VAM-7A. Wouldn't it be nice to be the firstest!! And now, without further drivel, may I introduced Miss Liberty:

Very Cool.
Only Problem is I believe that it looks cleaned.
Very Nice Morgan!

@ Kellyk... Good observation, but they seem to be circulation marks. In hand, even under a loop, it doesn't appear cleaned.

Keep in mind, that VAMworld pop listing is from 2010.
Not that I'm not jealous; you know what these things go for, right? A PCGS XF-40 went for over $750 last month....

You're right about the timeliness (or lack of) by VAMWorld.. I checked on NGC and they have graded four thusfar - one being an AU. PG

I believe it has been lightly wiped as there appears to be some scratches going the same way on the face as there is in the fields. Its a great VAM but those lines and the rim ding (which could go either way) may make this one come back in a details grade. But hey, you have two more of this particular VAM than I have so I still think you did very good at the thirty something price you said you paid
