I need some help grading my 1858 Seated Liberty quarter. I'm wanting to see if it would be worth it or not to get it officially graded! Its been in this plastic case ever since I bought it. Please see the pictures and tell me what you think! There's a few scratches from the case just FYI! Thank you so much!!

I would grade your coin VF30. May have been cleaned in the past.
This coins FMV (Fair Market Value), would not be enough to offset the cost of certification. I would put it in an Airtite holder and enjoy it. That's what I would personally do

to the CCF!

I think it might be around a VF-35 possibly EF-40. Surfaces might not be completely original. It probably would not be worth it to get it graded.

A nice looking coin Around VF35, but not valuable enough for grading.

First I want to you to the forum. I went ahead and moved this thread to the Classic Grading section since it was asking for help on grading as I believe it will get more attention here for you even though you have already gotten some pretty good answer so far.

Now about the coin, The Obverse looks VF while the Reverse looks like it is close to XF. Since the Obverse carries the most weight I believe the assessments of VF-35 is correct. I also think it has been cleaned at one time.

Thanks a bunch for all of the responses and welcomes!! From what I got back from everyone its safe to say that this coin falls in the VF-30-35ish area and that the coin has been cleaned at one point in time. I bought it from this old gentleman for 25 dollars, looks like it was a worthy find! Knowing that it's been cleaned, kind of temps me to clean it up even more lol but i'll probably refrain. :)

PS: Buying this coin was a bit of a gamble judging by the sellers initial pictures, I think it may have scared others away due to this very reason and on a lot of coins on ebay in general. See what I mean below:

I think it is a nice buy for $25. It looks closer to a 40 in my opinion, and I dont think we can conclusively call it "cleaned" from these pictures. Please dont perform any additional cleaning! If it has been cleaned, it is an older cleaning that has toned over and is only minorly detracting....and further cleaning it would seriously impact value. Numismedia shows $48 in VF-20 and $84 in XF-40, so I dont think you can lose much even if cleaned at $25.

it's a nice quarter for the money...careful on the bay however, it will probably only come in at greysheet and not Numismedia FMV...
