Nice coin you have there

A coin on my want list, but...
1) You're probably keeping it.
2) If you weren't, it will be a while before forum rules will allow a transaction between us involving that coin.

I dont think I would sell the coins.
I got this collection from my late uncle & enjoy them.
I stared looking through every coin I come across now in my pocket change & am enjoying this hobby very much.

I also have this one that looks like the first, but cant make out the date.

What would a good guess on grade be? Value on either coin?

aardspeed . . the 2nd one appears to be 1856. I would guess G-4/6 Details/corroded. If you do an ebay search you will find similar coins in the $5-10 range. The real value is that your uncle thought his collection should be passed on to you.

If you are trying to learn grading just keep posting coins and study the posts in the grading forums. If you have questions about how the grade was determined, ask them. There are experts here in every denomination and they are happy to share their knowledge. Also bookmark this site. http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/

Thanks for your grading guess of my coin & what you think it's value is..
When I find out info on each coin,
I'll scribble a note or 2 on the 2x2 of its' weight, size, composition, grade & value etc...
I am learning everytime I log on to this site & am enjoying the hobby very much.
I will post more coins and cant wait to learn more...ty again :)

I swear to God that looks like 1886. Which is not possible I know, but thats what it looks like to me. LOL

I would say hi F Details damage... 25 bucks or so.

Very cool way to get your collection. Value is in the eye of the collector. Those coins have a far higher value than anything in a catalog.
