Hi all, since getting serious about the hobby again recently I have not found many dealers online that I like. I am going to use Alaska Coin Exchange since I remember dealing with him in the past, good dealer. The others that look reliable and honest to me are JJ Teaparty, which I know is reputable. Telesphere who I have dealt with before. Joel Rettew, Jack Baymer, Steve Musil. I collect circ coins 95% of the time and want honest grading. E bay is out for me except Dave's and Bobby and Susan of course. I am curious which dealers you guys use and trust.

Thanks Tony

You will hear repeated endorsements of Harlan Berk, including mine, although there is one member here (whose name escapes me) who had a poor customer-service experience with them. I have dealt with Northeast Numismatics and David Lawrence on good terms, although I recommend you buy the coin and not the grade.

I have conducted successful transactions with dealers associated with https://www.vcoins.com, and I can recommend that you do some browsing there.

James at EarlyUS gets my wholehearted recommendation; I would buy sight-unseen from this gentleman based on his grade and description. He's a member here, if you didn't know, and you can see my examples of his offerings in my Silly Head thread here, and the One Cent thread in the Grading forum.

Wow! Someone else who likes Alaska Coin Exchange. Mike Nourse is a great dealer and extremely fair....he's a rare find among coin dealers. I could also say the Mark Feld and Michael Dixon are cool to deal with. Overall I like JJ Teaparty but I've had some not-so-good experiences where I'm always on guard with their material.

Heh. If I dealt with Mark Feld (who occasionally posts here, too), I'd only be able to afford one coin a year.

But it'd be a great coin.

I've had a couple of good dealings with Rare Coins of New Hampshire and JJ Teaparty, nothing bad so far. Sheridan Downey and Dick Osborn are nice dealers, although I personally find their prices a little high. Dennis Tarrant who started his own company is a great dealer, not sure if his website's up yet. I mostly buy early type so this list is oriented towards that material.

Everybody in my family including me really like the International Coin Shop in Grand Junction, Colorado. They are not a real big business, but we really like them and they are on the internet. I have liked all the coins I got from that business.

Bye!!

Thanks all, I have looked at them all and they all seem to have the kind of stuff I want. I have to agree with you Dave, Mark Feld is way out of my league. I cringe when I have to go over 40-50 bucks for a coin!!!!!!
