I agree with epikur.
The 1903-O has a "typical" New Orleans' strike. That means "not nearly as bad as some others are."
I had come to this conclusion before having read some of the other replies.
The sharp "E" and "R" pushes this coin to a VF-20. The band is complete but weak.
The corn could use a few more kernels.
The hair above the forehead is lacking most details.
In my opinion, cleaning does not alter the grade. It DOES however affect the market price.
And I just noticed that the top of the "A" in states is filled! Nice little flaw in the die.
