Just picked up a 1890 cc in the junk bin. Brought her home-she is a VAM 5: double cc. I have lots of die cracks on back and might have ?an earlier late die state? As the cracks aren't as defined as the pictures on VAM world.

Still no camera, no pics,

Just use your imagination! It's a pretty dirty coin currently taking an acetone bath to see what other surprises may be under this grime.

Nice. I can't wait till you get a camera so we can get some pics. Keep us updated on what you find on her after she takes her bath. Also, how much did you pay?

I paid $33. This is my fifth cc: one I received at 15 from my granddmother's restaurant that she had put aside, one I bought that is pretty worn, two that are MS and now this one. I was so surprised when I turned it over to see which mint mark it had.the price was certainly right.

I think you paid a good price, but that is without seeing any pictures.

just about any CC Morgan for that price is a good buy. The history and mystique of the CC coinage is enough to make most people love them
