Maybe only a VF-20 max. coin but just double
checking on the VAM. Date seems to match up (far date/high)
M.M. is the only O that I can find this high up also.
Seems to be oval just a little mushy/worn. If so, is it worth a little more than just the norm. for it's grade ?
Thanks for looking.
Images are scans but should do the trick anyway.

I'm thinking more along the line of maybe VAM16. The O on yours looks more round than oval and the date position is not as far to the right as VAM2. See what you think.

Yup, seems to be the 16 all right.
An EDS most likely. I do not even check the other
Vams (never do:) only the 100,50,40 etc.
I'm out picking up run of the mill Morgans for a friend of mine
but just wanted to double check first.
Thanks.

O.K.

M.M. seems a bit too thin north and south for a round.
Have seen ovals that are smashed some outward east/west.
but the date looks closer to a 16 than a 2. Gotta do a side by side on the date/denticle alignment double check.

I have had to take a second and third look..as the interior of the "O" is what most people look at when deciding if its an oval, or round, but the "Oval" is determined
by the "FONT" characteristic...the Oval is simply due to the fact that the Font is not the same dimention(size) north and south and narrower east to west...hence the Oval term...Wear
has had the tendency to wear the Mint Mark to appear that the inner circle is very oval,,or near not even round in fact..long and thin, while some of the inner circle appear more round, its not the inner circle per say that determines the OVAL status...its height VS width...which determines if its an oval mint mark.. not an oval here
