I know what we all buy is essentially up to ourselves but I just want some ideas.
Seeing as I started collecting in June of this year, I made short term goals to fill my quarter and dime rolls, and also my ASE roll. Quarters and dimes are done. I need a few more ASEs.
I also have (8) 1 oz JM and Silvertowne bars, along with 4 CMLs, a Britannia and a few Morgans.
I kind of want to get rid of the bars as they arent peaking my interest as much as ASEs do.
So I was wondering, what next? I need another short term (affordable) goal to achieve. And I'm running out of ideas.
I would love to start a Lunar collection but they hold a premium I am not prepared to spend.
Again, this is soley for ideas.

A little while ago, I entered a post (into a CCF PM string entitled "Bullion Collection!") that had a list of PM dealer and mint names for website research possibilities. Check them out. I've found way more ideas in those sites than I'll ever be able to chase down in the rest of my lifetime and probably the next several lifetimes as well. Right now I'm on a long-term project, myself. I bought one of those empty mint "monster boxes" that APMEX sells and I'm in the process of filling it up - ha, ha! There goes the rest of this lifetime!

I am also in it long term. I just like making short term goals to keep it interesting. It makes me feel good to complete these goals.

Where as your goal of filling a monster box. I would feel so discouraged thinking "oh wow, only 480 more ounces!" Lol

If you interested in sets and have access to 90% silver that you can dig through at a local dealer, you could put together a mercury and/or Roosevelt silver dime set. Aside from the 16D, 21, and 21D, you may be able to find everything else at or close to melt. The roll you have could give you a jump start. The 8 bars you don't care for could also fund a lot of dimes to look through. You could probably find almost all Franklins at melt as well.

As for bullion, Libertads are very nice. You could find an example of the two different one ounce sizes: 1982-1995 and 1996-present. You could also get the first 5 from the canadian wildlife series.

Crow those are some good ideas. I love the look of the libertads! Just have never purchased one. And what are the different 1 oz sizes? Like an ASE compared to a CML? I like the bigger diameter of the ASE compared to the thicker CML but. Ill look into them.

The present Libertads have a 40 mm diameter and 3 mm thickness. The older ones have a diameter of 36 mm and a 4 mm thickness.

How many JM bars to you have? If you check out the buy/sell/trade section under stack diversification, you will see what I'm currently offering. If you're interested?
