I'll say, AU-58, is that a fleck of white from the 2x2 on the cheek?

MS63 would be my take on this coin unless they
really didn't like the hit on the cheek, then 62.
I see softness but no wear IMO (which is always the case)

I was torn between AU and MS on this coin, but I agree with upstate. I think this is an MS coin. The weakness in the feathers is due to a poor strike rather than wear.

Looks to be a lot of luster flow lines on this example, but hit on the cheek keep it from a high grade so probably around MS63.

A guy with my business card came into my office with 7 IHCs in this condition and said "Five Dollars each, take it or leave it". Apparently the B and M shop only offered him fifty cents a piece and would not budge. I asked the other dealer about it and he told me he had to make a profit and the "coins were junk". I asked him if he looked at them all..his reply? "No, why? Did you buy them?".

Like my Gramps always said "A little Courtesy goes a long way". I get more biz from those people who are insulted by the Big Dealer in town....shhhhhhh

MS-63, the luster hasn't been broken anywhere and I see no wear.

What is with the '9' in the date, though. Is it the photograph, or is it really that weak. Not saying there is anything not genuine about the coin, but I haven't seen a date numeral that poorly struck on an IHC in a while. I can barely read it.

Which gives credence to the softly struck MS coin
