At a flea market last Sunday I bought a box full of coins. It had some damaged large cents, 6 90% halves, a few 1 oz SIlver Rounds, and a bag of wheat pennies. I paid the guy $150 for the box, and I left it on my desk all week until today. Finally when I got around to looking through the pennies I found all of these cool errors along with about 100ish BU red wheaties from the 40's and 50's as well as a 1909 Bu Wheat penny (not VDB or S mintmark). SInce errors on not my area of expertise I need some help and input on some of these coins.

1928 Wheat penny with looks like it could be an error, but I believe that it probably just PMD

The rim on this one is raised and it moves in on the coin. I have never seen anything like it before.

Steel penny with missing rim material PMD?

Let me know if you want more pics and,if you can, the value of this stuff! Thank You! Any input is appreciated! I am really curious as to what these coins are!

I think the last one had its rim cut off so that it could be put into vending machines instead of a dime (sort of like people using washers etc.)

Yeah I was thinking of that too. When I saw it next to a dime I thought that if it had more luster I could pass it off as one. Maybe I'll give it a try and get 10 cents out of it!

The 1928, 1946, and 1943 are post mint damage. Not worth anything more than a penny. The 1952's look like die cracks, and almost appear to be from the same die, which is pretty cool, but probably not worth a whole lot over face.

Cool looking! Wouldn't it take more than 9 cents worth of work to take the rim off a penny? lol

Looks like it was held with a pair of pliers. Note the shoulder?

Those "devil horn" die cracks will carry a premium. There are people who collect varieties and errors.
