this coin is on a Dealers website in Europe.
he is asking approx. $1000 for it.
is it authentic or not?

If you think, or know, that it is not, please explain and give your reasons.

if you have no concerns, please indicate.

The DEI looks out of alignment to me. Each letter seems rotated clockwise. And all the lettering seems too close to the denticles. I'm not an authority in this area though.

Fake or not,$1000 is way too much.

I have to agree..just doesn't seem right to me, and if it is O.K. $1000.00 is way too much for this coin.

what make me wonder is this:
1875 is supposed to be OBV 2.
there are a few aspects that just do not match obv 2.
Granted, I lifted the images of the dealers web site, but I think everything should still be in proportion.
the bottom point of the bust pointing to the wrong location, the crown, the nose.
I might be wrong, but then again, maybe it did come from the far east?
unfortunately, I do not have a 1875 to compare it with.
Maybe someone could post one?
