I believe that ICG is also referred to as ICGS (Independent Coin Grading Service). This is NOT the same company that is being shown in this ebay auction. The one in the ebay auction (Integrity Coin Grading Service) does not have a website that I could find and are apparently brand new. It obviously remains to be seen if they are going to be credible, but I am skeptical. Looks to me like they're just trying to capitalize on having the same acronym as ICG.

The slab is a world coin holder that you can buy at any of the coin supply houses.

The reference to Cornwell being from ICGS has to be a reference to ICG and not the ICGS in the ebay auctions. The website saying he was from ICGS has not been updated since 2004, and the company in the ebay auction is no more than two months old or so.

They are the first to use a computer to grade? Guess they never heard of Compu-Grade. I bet the computer system they use is really expensive *rolls eyes*

Or PCGS's The Expert system. (I also listed a third company in the first edition of the slabbook LCGS that claimed to use a computer and laser image scanning to grade the coin.) That would make I.C.G.S. the fourth company to make the claim. (In the late 1980's both ANACS and Amos Press were also working on computer grading systems. In fact one of the reasons Amos Press purchased ANACS was to get their computer grading research.)

Wow I can only Say that I know the owner of ICGS Integrity coin grading service they have been in business for six months or so and are serious about grading coins the owner says he will grade on a hard scale there web site is https://www.ICGS.us and as far as the Coin World holders do we really care as long as the coin inside has a guarantee of not only authenticity but also of grade I say this company will be in the top three by next year.

Sure do. quote: I say this company will be in the top three by next year.
While I can appreciate your optimism, this is never going to happen. Not even close. Especially with a website built without a page title using Microsoft Word. I know one collector that will not fork out grading dollars for Coin World holders, no security that I can see, and a label that looks like its done on a typewriter.

Well? OP needs to respond. I respect the opinions here highly. And serious issues are raised that counter boastful claims.

Parklane, the OP was just quoting the auction, he's not pushing ICGS.

I took the I.C.G.S. challenge and was not impressed with the results. I submitted a Barber dime that I considered an MS-63. I had taken the dime to three well known coin dealers in my area and was told it would grade anywhere from MS63- MS65, so I thought I would give the new grading company a shot at it. It came back in a capitol holder (available at any coin shop) with a grade of AU58. When I ask I.C.G.S. why it was graded so low, the reply I received was they (ICGS) never overgrade and If I wanted a higher grade to send it to NGC or ANA (I will be happy to forward the email I received to anyone interested in reading it). Their consensus was based on three persons grading MS62-AU58. What happened to the computer grading taking out the guess work they brag about? I did save about $15 using ICGS instead of PCGS but give me a break, I'll know better next time. I also did not receive the $5 refund they offer if your not happy with their service. I will send the dime to PCGS like I should have done in the first place.

Creig, let's see some pics!!!!! Maybe ICGS is going by old standards. With a picture, there's a chance we can have a look and give you our thoughts. There are some old standard graders here for sure.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

At least they're not over grading, but with the other TGPs that over grade everyone is going to believe that the under graded coin is over graded.

I've heard they're pretty decent actually.

If you haven't cracked it yet, I could use some good pictures of the slab front and back.
