The best way to tell would be to accurately weigh them. Looking at the picture they seem fine.

I agree it would be very very hard for anyone to forge a coin like that due to the matte surfaces and extreme amount of detail in proof coins

Look exactly like the real ones, so either their real or they are awazingly accurate fakes (which I doubt...)

Are you concerned your local dealer would buy and sell counterfeits? If I ever had a question about what my dealer was selling I would ask him first and if it still seemed fishy or his answer didn't sit right with me I think it would be time for a new dealer.

I trust my dealer and we have a good relationship so we never have to question what either of us is trying to sell the other. You should develop a similar relationship with your dealer. That's also the best way to get great deals.

I would be concerned if they were sold cheaper than the current silver spot value. Unlikely but you never know with coins these days. Best is to weigh them first - digital scales don't cost much these days. You can get them for under an ounce of silver (price wise).

I think they are genuine, so far, have not heard any counterfeits of those Perth Mint Luner year silver coins. May I ask how much did you pay them for?

Weighing is one of the steps. Also check the thickness compared to the stated dimensions of the coin. It's hard for a fake to get the same weight unless you make the coin thicker.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I haven't weighed the coins yet but I bought them around $105 each.. if converted to dollars since I bought them in Philippine peso.
