I don't know anything about half pennies but, if it's real, it's a nice one.

Wasn't aware these had any engraver's initials. What's that under the bust that looks like EWF?

Is that original and if so, is it yours? It is in amazing condition and the details are so crisp! I wasn't aware that the early American coins were struck so fine.

If it's original, it wasn't coined in America. They were minted at the Tower Mint in London on behalf of the Virginia Assembly. The grade isn't uncommon, either; there was a large hoard of mint state specimens that turned up in the nineteenth century.

Ahh...shoot I wanted it to go longer but not when philadelphian is in the mist
I bought it a couple weeks back as a restrike but I'm not really finding too much info about it.

Yep. I had a chance awhile back to purchase a nice PCGS MS64RB example but opted for another Colonial at the time.

Sorry v! Looking again, is that "£WF"? Even less of an idea what that could mean.

It's actually EWF. Here is one I found that states, "COPY". Can't find any info on mine or who made it?

Perhaps a reference to the funk band Earth, Wind and Fire? These coins were minted almost exactly two centuries before the group's first album; coincidence?
