The seller (Simon) is a young enthusiast collector When he was Buying for his collection he received extensive guidence from some High Profile collectors. Currently I'm the high bidder on this coin and if I win I'll update on the coin. I agree that the .// penny is often mistaken with the more common .// At least 2 of the other 4 .// pennies on ebay are .// (if you see a .// penny with a die clash then it almost certainly isn't a .// penny but a .//) as I have scores of .// and hundreds of .// pennies and have only seen the die clash on the .// (the majority of .// pennies have 1 to 3 die clash marks between the NN). There just seems like a little too muh wear/damage in the dot region to be able to confidently say its a dot or not. Did anyone here buy it? Maybe it is more obvious in hand with a loupe?
