Hi first post! Not sure if this is a damaged coin, or if it's an error. If it's an error, is it worth anything?

It looks like a nice Struck Through Grease error. It is major enough to be a keeper.

I don't think that it is Struck Through Grease. Struck through late stage die cap is more like it. Just my humble opinion for what it is worth. Which probably is not much.

Your coin was struck with clogged dies, from grease and other press gunk. It was not struck through a die cap because the reverse is affected as well. Most grease struck-throughs are quite common and minor in nature but your coin has a significant loss of detail, value would be roughly 500x face give or take a little bit.

Another possiblility. The press operator could have been adjusting the strike pressure. Yours is a result of a lighter than normal strike. Still worth a premium.
