still lookin Pillar of the Community 967 Posts	Posted 10/25/2012 5:22 pm I don't think that it is Struck Through Grease. Struck through late stage die cap is more like it. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 10/25/2012 5:52 pm Your coin was struck with clogged dies, from grease and other press gunk. It was not struck through a die cap because the reverse is affected as well. Most grease struck-throughs are quite common and minor in nature but your coin has a significant loss of detail, value would be roughly 500x face give or take a little bit. sab3927 Valued Member United States 163 Posts	Posted 10/27/2012 10:15 am Another possiblility. The press operator could have been adjusting the strike pressure. Yours is a result of a lighter than normal strike. Still worth a premium. Report this Post to the Staff
