hey guys, I had this listed on a website for a while now as a regular 1964 Kennedy half dollar but a viewer told me that it might be a Heavily Accented variety half dollar, could he/she be correct?

What do you guys think, any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.
Thank you and have a great rest of the weekend.

I believe the "accented hair" is only in a proof version. Your coin appears to be a circulation strike.

Well, to start, the heavily accented variety is a proof coin. This does NOT appear to be a proof to me. That aside, on your coin, the area I highlighted would be the area that would have much more noticeable highlighting...

This one just doesn't have that accenting. So I would say nope, just a good old 64 business strike.

I agree with smoke rider and muddler that the variety is for the proof version.

Your viewer may have been looking at the "I" in liberty, it is where one of the die
markers are for a A/H proof 64 Kennedy.

the best way to tell is to flip it over and check the reverse

What do we look at on the reverse Coppertop?
This is a coin I'd like to obtain some day and need to know what I can.
Thank you

the best way to tell is look and see if its a proof or not as proof versions are the only accented hair varieties made. If it isn't a Proof then no need tom look at the Reverse. If it is a Proof then you can look at the I in LIBERTY for the truncated serif. This is the easiest to see but there are the broken rays and straight initials also you can look for to verify accented hair
