I don't know if they are a fair price The 1887 for AUD$25 and AUD$14 for the 1931. Either way I am happy with these. Would someone care to hazard a grading on each? Princetane Pillar of the Community 4628 Posts	Posted 09/03/2022 06:59 am ttkoo - 1887 Jubilee High VG - not bad for the price, but you find 1887 Jubilee Halfcrowns are very affordable compared to other years, my high VF one cost me just $45. Ironically of all the Jubilee Head halfcrowns 1887 to 1892, the 1887 has the lowest mintage (1.18m), yet its the cheapest one because everybody kept them as souvenirs. Hardly anyone kept an 1891 halfcrown as a souvenir. What they should have done is kept the 1887 Young head halfcrown as a souvenir, because those are worth serious dollars now. The 1931 is very nice and toned, but some brown streaks for copper leaching - still its a high VF to low EF and a nice piece. Would love to have a party, but Victoria is a real stick in the mud and would not approve of Bertie raising a merry ruckus. He may lead his Hanoverian great uncles on!
