Here is a toned, lightly circulated George III 1820 shilling. From the dirt in the legends I would guess it's an original, uncleaned coin (?). I picked this up on ebay for $16.00 plus shipping.   Paul Bulgerin

One more coin to share. I've been on a British buying binge this past week. This is a 1902 Edward VII Half Penny, graded MS-64 "Red" by ANACS. It was a hard coin to photograph. It is full red, a deep reddish/orange color, with a hint of violet on the reverse. The coin has full cartwheel luster, which is especially nice on the reverse.    Paul Bulgerin

Nice group Rob,
Paul please keep showing us your purchases, the halfpenny is really nice! The shilling is definitely close to EF, the Reverse is a wee bit more worn (VF). But amazing value for what you paid for it. That is a close to $100 coin.

ttkoo, I guess that sort of usual on this coin as I think that they where using machines already. I have seen repunched dates and the writing on the observer or sometimes dies breaks. The only other extra letter on the reverse legend side is probably the victorian sovereign.
