Great coins Indian Gold eagle! Love that 1762 3d, early G3 silver is very scarce!

In honour of our recently departed Queen Elizabeth II, I have obtained two Sovereigns that effectively bookend the Sovereign issues of her reign; a 1957 and a 2022. Once again, the images don't do justice to the 1957 coin, which is brilliant uncirculated. There are a few minor marks around the Queen's neck, but otherwise beautiful. What looks like a scratch running vertically down St George's leg is on the case. Photos to follow tomorrow of the 2022.   |

That's a special sovereign Kipster. Who was the engraver of the reverse? That detail is exquisite.

To help pad out my emerging UK album, I aquired some low level KGIII sixpences, a KEVII thruppy and some pennies courtesy of my father and ebay1816 KGIII sixpence  1818 KGIII sixpence  1819 KGIII sixpence  1908 KEVII threepence  1910 KEVII penny  1937 KGVI penny  1936 KGV penny  1938 KGVI penny  1931 KGV penny  1919 KGV penny  1912 KGV penny  1921 KGV penny with a strike through under the end of the trident pole.  The Ox moves slowly, but the Earth is patient.

Good group, love your George III sixpences!
My Victoria's run over, but that period is virgin ground for me in the world of sixpences. Halfcrowns and Shillings are another matter though!
I would replace the 1921 penny though, its reverse is quite off putting and its an easy coin to get.

I like the '21--has that woody appearance which shows occasionally on US wheat cents.

Ah, you mean your Victoria's runneth over. Lol...took me a little bit to catch your drift. Your UK collection, even the little of it that I have seen, blows my mind. You have some special pieces.
KGIII seems to have bulging eyes. Is that normal?
Yes the 1921 is an oddball, It seems to be a poor mix of the alloy metals. I'll keep it, but in a locked room!
I have a bunch of coins coming over the next few weeks.
All UK stuff, even a token and some gun money!
And I found a dozen UK 3d's from 1941 back to 1873, about half are holed though. Anyway I'll post some picks maybe tomorrow. It's a public holiday, a day of national mourning for Queen Elizabeth II. Senior moment. SWMBO informs me that is Thursday next week.
