This 1898 Victoria "veiled head" half crown (2/6) didn't cost much more than the value of its silver content, but it's in good circulated condition with a few scratches and dings and a lovely grey color.

A scarcer type and very difficult to find in any grade 1897 High tide Victoria Bronze Penny. This coin causes TPG's nothing but problems. Nearly all the high tide slabbed coins are not high tide. They seem to think that the tide line on the right of Britannia's legs Is a marker when it certainly is not. You need to look the other side on the left the tide line next to the shield on a normal tide coin the tide line is at the base of the rock next to the shield. On the HT it is half way up the rock closer to the St Andrews cross. Also the easier marker for Identification is the P of PENNY points between two border teeth. Normal 1897 penny it points to a border tooth. Nice coin close to very fine

For anyone who doesn't collect this range or series of coins. Though it isn't the scarcest mintage of the Brass Threepence's it is widely acknowledged to find the 1958 in lustrous uncirculated condition is near impossible. Well my 15 year search has finally come to an end. I put two sets of pictures up as the top down shots never flatter a coin and almost never show any lustre.

Britain is one of my major countries.

Here is my 1849 Godless Florin, not the greatest condition (Good - Very Good) but at $20 NZ a steal

A 1953 Uncirculated set I got for $5 but the plastic broke and the 6d is long gone!

One of my best pieces by far was bought as a junk silver coin. I paid $2 for this 1820 shilling.

Despite it being blackened (Like someone tried to melt it?), the coin has very little wear and looks close to EF condition to me. It's worth a lot more than $2 in my opinion.

Unusually for me a couple of the heavy hitters of the milled Edwardian silver coinage. 1904 .925 silver half crown GVF and the more elusive especially in grades over VF 1905 .925 Silver shilling the key date of the series and of the entire Post 1900 shillings VF50 which is around AU53 US .between GVF and AEF UK grading. Obviously the 1905 nicer than the pics hard to get a good shot inside the tomb
