Hi all,
After seeing the previous post about 1970S small dates, I went and checked out my 1970S coins. I don't usually collect by date and mint mark, but whenever I find an S mint coin, I keep it. The top penny is what I think is the large date, and the two on the bottom I'm hoping are small dates. Both of them look a little better in person, especially the right one, which has lots of toning.
Thanks everyone!

What difference does the reverse make? There were no reverse design changes between 1969 and 1972.

all LDs. Like you said, lotsa posts and pix to ID the SDs. If you are having a lotta trouble with this, buy a certified copy (hoping even the TPGs have it right-they haven't always) and use it for reference. A cheaper way is to study the detailed pix from coop and coppercoins. They are great.

Most of the times when you need to ask, it is a large date. The small dates are easy to spot when you note the differences from the example above.
