Casutherland, this is your 7070 album and ultimately whatever you put in is what you have to look at so buy what you like as the only person that really matters on what is in the album is you. As for price you'll need to learn to use whatever resources are at your disposal and to determine if the price being asked is reasonable or not. There will come a time where you won't have the time to ask for another's opinion about a price at a coin show or in a coin shop or even ebay in a buy it now listing as by the time you get a response the coin you're looking at was purchased by someone else.

Right, I guess I'm just worried that I will buy something that's a rip off and will inevitably feel bad about :/

did you get the 7070 yet? and see what is included in it. cause just a 20 cent piece in XF will run you around 300 to 600 or maybe more--I was happy to get my g4 for 60 bucks and some of the colonial stuff is real high--in XF I would go with the type set..just my OP

On the early coins, the gold and stuff like that you could go with lower grades. There are plenty of nice lower grade coins to be had out there.

As for no make an offer. Just send a message. I don't have make an offers on my items, but people send me messages with offers. If they are reasonable I entertain them.

True smoker, and I'm sort of wobbly right now on which direction I am going to take. Regardless it is going to be a slow collecting process. Like possibly 1-2 coins every 1-2 months haha..

I'm fairly young and not new to collecting but took a break for a while and now back at it. I noticed it took me a while to pick one and finally dip my feet in the water, once I did it just took off from there. It's always hard to pick just one.

Casutherland - The auction link you posted today is a nicer coin in terms of strike quality, but the off colored streaking leads me to believe somebody tried to dip this coin.
