nice details but amazingly cleaned I wonder what that mark is across from the second star up on the right? and the rims look off to me. but I usually stay away from these things purely because of how often they are counterfeited .

Talk about a poster child for the term "polishing!"

You bother looking at raw ones to learn how to tell fake from genuine, damaged from problem-free, and low-grade from high-grade! Is this one a polished-up genuine example, or a pristine replica?

"hi, is there a possibility of getting photos in the quality of your other auctions? this coin is often counterfeited and it looks heavily cleaned but can not tell with such a glare and angle. thank you"

well she answered quickly
her response "It is the "light showsed, and to me this coin never polished or cleaed, it looks uncirculated to me, the coins better than picture not cloudy as it looks, but because of light the coin is not as shiny as the picture is but again looks uncirculated to me, however it's up to you. I hope I answered your quesion, for any reason you want to ask me again, please just let me know. Thanks"

If she didnt send more pictures pass on it for sure. 1000+ dollar coin and thats the most effort you can put into listing it not a chance

Looks to be highly polished. Anytime you see the portrait of a coin shiny like this and its not a proof coin it should be the first giveaway that the coin has been polished. It may be the angle the picture was taken that makes it look weird but I am not sure but I do know its definitely polished. It is not a PL coin like they claim. It also looks to have a chop mark on the coin and I do not see anything that is screaming fake though but the angle the picture was taken really throws me off

I don't see any red flags but definitely polished to death. There is a halo around the stars, lettering, numbers, and design.

Yes, that's a chopmark. Looks to me like a genuine coin but one that's been abrasively polished. To my experience, the halo effect, surrounding the date, stars and other devices is typically indicative of such heavy cleaning. IMHO, the bids have now surpassed this coin's market value. The seller's write-up suggests that potential buyers not take her word for the grading description ... I concur!

Photos are so bad I can't tell if it is real, but the coin is heavily polished and badly hairlined (the hairlines show in the obv field to the left of stars 12 and 13.) If real and left alone this would have been quite a coin and worth a lot. With the heavy polishing it would be worth maybe $150 to $200. The polished most of the value right off of this piece.
