Another noodling find. this doubling occurs right the way round the lettering of the obverse of the coin, there is no doubling on the head.
Is this a rare variety? what caused it?
Any info would be greatly appreciated,

That is very decent doubling, much better than anything I have. Pribably got double struck, the second time the coin slightly roatated before impact.
