Please help me identify this hammered coin. It has a head on each side and the word CRISTVS (cristus) on one side. The coin is 15mm in diameter.

Here goes nothing! First side, obviously Jesus Christ. Other side, S BLASIVS RACUSII, or St. Blasius of Ragusa, patron saint of the principality known as the Republic of Ragusa, where I'm going to say this coin comes from, now the area of Dubrovnik in the former Yugoslavia.

Thanks for the help philadelphian. Still have not been able to find an exact match. That website has one that has some similarities, but says it's made of copper. Mine is silver. Will keep searching.

The coin I was looking at on the website was labeled mezzanino d'argento, so it's silver. Face-front portraits of St Blasius and Jesus, with what looks (in the tiny pic) to be the same legends as your coin. Not from the same dies, obviously, but to the same design specifications.

And there's another! Not much new info, though. I know they're undated, but they could at least provide a ballpark range. Mmorgan22's is much more skillfully executed, IMO.

Thanks for the help Philadelphian and DCH. I tried looking at zeno to see if they had anything, but not one close. I will post when I find out any more info.
