The strikes are a bit mushy, but what a sweet deal! Way below spot.

I have very fond memories of gold chocolate coins as a child and this is the first time I've seen them since. And they are delicious! Real Belgian chocolate as opposed to the waxy stuff we got in our childhood stockings. Available at Costco and enough for 5 families.

I remember when I was a child (I'm still childish), back in the late 1960's, I had a neighbor who was Orthodox Jewish and he got this gum that came from Israel. They were gold coins (foil) wrapped over gum. The gum had a very distinct flavor. I have never been able to find the same gum or flavor since. Anybody else know what I'm referring too?

Rest in Peace

Sweet!

That was a trip down memory lane. And yeah, we got the crummy waxy chocolate ones.

More like trying to remove the chocolate spot.

Couldn't resist and just had to crack 'em. Unfortunate edge damage during the de-slab process, so, what the heck, I melted them down.

mds308, yep, I know that gum. I was once New York city born and raised. My wife will know the name of that gum. Oh, wasn't the flavor the best...?

blackjack,

I don't remember it being the best, I remember it being very different and not all that lasting in flavor. Kind of like Zebra Striped Gum. The flavor was gone after your first swallow. It was good though.

Memories.....

You're right, same as the flavor in the baseball-card gum. (Back when I flipped when I should have held on....)
