Niiiiiiice! Love the conter stamp! :) I recently got a corroded 1795 liberty cap lettered edge for $0.50 from a junk tray :)

I do the same thing with culls. Something about a coin that has seen a lot in life fascinates me.

The 1851 looks like it may have saved someone from a bullet. Civil war maybe?

those holes in the middle are probably from nails--they used to put a penny in a room or a house in the year it was built.

I have a couple holed coins in my 7070 album along with some other highly circulated coins. I love coins like this, by the way I need a draped bust for my 7070.

the third one down definitely looks like a nail hole in the middle. Looks like it was nailed back when the nails were square

Considering the size of bullets in the Civil War, that penny would have become part of the shrapnel that killed the guy carrying it.

Those are great coins. And personally, if they could talk I would think they would be filing assault charges. LOL

A culled coin needs a loving home too! I have several and it's an affordable way to fill in those holes in the large cent collection.
