I bought both of these for my 7070 that I plan on starting.

Let me know what you guys think!

Only thing about the buffalo is that in the dark, you can hardly see the shine on it, and it seems really dark. However, in the light it is a beautiful coin with an amazing patina!

looks like a good start! Are you going to crack out the franklin? You could do a slabbed 7070, in that case you can find a 1913 type 1 buff graded for not much more than what you paid for a raw one

Not sure, probably going to buy them slabbed and bust them out for the most part. I personally love the look of a coin in an album rather than a hard plastic slab. Just a personal opinion though!

Can't say on the Indian but if you're going to crack out the Franklin you're a little on the high side. That is a $16-17 coin not in the slab. Keep it in the slab and you're doing alright.

Not a huge fan of slabbed coins (especially for my 7070 album), but I have to say I am totally grooving on that Buffalo nickel. Nice pickup!

I think you did well with both - crack that baby out and put it with the rest of your children! I also like the look in albums though we do buy coins that happened to be slabbed.

I like that Buff!!

In all honesty, I have always, and this is just my personal taste, I don't like Franklin halves.

I have a (used) 7070 album which you can buy from me if interested. It does not come with the optional gold page. It's in good shape, but note that the Half Cent coins have to be placed delicately into the folder with the plastic cover otherwise they will slip out. Also, the plastic sliders are missing on the last page with the Modern Coins. Otherwise, it is in good, used condition. Dansco stopped making these, they are now out of print and there is a high demand for it. One with damage recently sold on ebay at a competitive auction for $66 (I figure I may be able to get that much for mine on the Bay.)
