Dare I say a clashed die?
VERY nice Type 2 1913 S.
Slightly weak strike, which is the norm on this date, but might I say...MS64?

I am leaning towards a MS-64 as well. A very nice coin!

My grade opinion is "MS-too good".
Seriously though...I say NGC MS-65 or PCGS MS-64.
That is an amazing coin. I bet it's near white as well. This date, in particular, toned various shades of brown fairly quickly. This is probably the nicest 13S t2 I've ever seen with the exception of registry investment grade pieces.

Very nice, and expensive! Slight strike weakness above the braid knot and on LIBERTY which I think are very typical for most branch-mint Buffalos. The reverse is very well struck with excellent detail on the head, horn, and tail tip. I don't see any particular problems, maybe just a couple very light scratches at 5:00 on the obverse and under the Buffalo's belly.
Choice to Gem MS I would think. Quite a coin!

WOW! Wasn't expecting to see one that nice (until I saw who the OP is). I'll have to agree that it's MS64 or possibly even higher.
BTW, Is this a common die state for the 13-S T2? You can make out the impression of the chin above the buffalo's back clear as day. I like it a lot!

I don't believe I have ever seen those dimples in the Bufflao before. Wonder what caused them?

Great coin, easy MS-64 and possibly a 65.

I believe the dimples you are seeing are part of the design unless I'm mistaken....

I didn't think the dimples were part of the design but I actually found several examples currently for sale on Teletrade with similar dimples. They were all high grade early years.
Thanks for pointing that out @Bryan and @kasey!

MS64 IMO, a great looking coin!
