Today was a great day! I finally found a good stapler which flatten the staple. I'm ready to return the old kitchen knive I borrowed to my parents 19 years ago!

Here's the one I bought:

I had one somewhat similar to this a while back. It turned out to be terrible for coins larger than quarters. When the lever was pressed down all the way (necessary for it to work), there was a plastic piece that stuck out in front of the where the staple came out. The result was that piece press down into the area where the coin was. I never really noticed until I stapled a 2x2 holder with a silver dollar in it. After stapling, there were two new rim digs on the coin for each staple in the holder.

If this is a Staples brand flat stack stapler, hold on to your receipt, there is a unlimited time warranty, I'm on my second stapler as the first crapped out after about a year, now the second one is acting up.
