2009 1 Dollar Federal Reserve Note

Are those faint lines an error? Can anybody tell me what it is? Not sure if I should hold it or spend it!

Thanks

Copy machine fake? Does the paper feel real? Are there tiny colored fibers embedded in the paper, I zoomed in on your pics and didn't see any colored fibers.

Looks like the edge wear equals the marks so I'm thinking some outside event caused them both. What that was we will probably never know.

@ckrakowski: LOL. Yes, that is true, but I don't know is PBEPD was as catchy. PBD maybe for Post Bureau Damage? PPD for Post Printing Damage?

Henning did do nickels, and what is most interesting about that is the blanks he used cost him close to a nickel each to purchase! Somebody could take a bill and a copy machine and make hundreds of dollar bills for a tiny amount of money, so making zerox dollars could actually be a lucrative enterprise for somebody.
Rest in Peace

Perhaps there is a paper money counting machine that has bands...and they got dirty....

However, I zoomed in on it and the color looks off to me.

Maybe that is the result of some color correction program in the camera.

asimpson91, Do you see any tiny blue or red fibers embedded in the paper? It still looks like a copy machine fake to me going by your photos that you posted. I am sure it's easier to see in hand.

Since you see the colored fibers then I don't know. The note looks like a photo copy to me but I am no pro.
