Poll Question
It seems an odd thing, the way this was messed up...then again could we trust any less from the Royal Australian Mint (RAM)? There are so many errors & etc (especially coins on wrong planchets, maybe there is an insider that figures let's mess this system? That's what I'd do if I worked with the RAM).
Anyway, the point I should get to is if you managed to get an RSL card, what type did you get?
Feel free to discuss further about the PNC or the local limited release, I'm lucky that my local Post Office where I work, hold onto some PNCs for me. So I tend to buy the limited PNCs, or ones I like.

I got the glued crap. Coins came straight off for a wipe with acetone and a cotton bud. I got 5 of the PNCs as theyre quite a small release and the coins are really nice in them.

I've seen some on ebay where it comes in a zip lock bag which is stapled to the card & I was a bit hesitant, because the card will be seen as damaged? That's one I have got on hold for pick-up today. (I was suppose to ask the mother-in-law to buy me one because my wife & I were away from the 9th of November till the 15th) Mind you prior to that every single person selling poppy's/badges/etc hadn't heard of them, hadn't been told when they'd be released or had been asked by numerous people if they still had any. I assume that a few smaller local RSL's would still have some. Although that makes me wonder if all the people within the RSL have been buying them? Because that could work out to be a lot of people. There's a huge amount of interest in the coin. It's just taking the time to sift through a huge amount of RSL's to find your coin.

NSW RSL still has them on the website... http://www.rslnsw.org.au/announceme...ObjectType=7. No mail order option. Nearest to me is Dubbo, a 110km drive away. Qld RSL shop site is "Down for Maintenance The RSL Shop is currently down for maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience. " Local RSL ordered two weeks ago and has heard nothing. Definitely worth trying to get. The way it is going very few are ever going to get out so they should be very collectible. Jeff

I got one from the RSL in Ringwood (VIC) near the station today. Came with the card & the coin in a zip lock bag without STAPLE or GLUE! Woohoo. The problem is you can only buy one at a time. (but that can't stop me from going back again & again (or sending other people in). The interesting thing is she asked "how many I was after?" & when I replied, "how many you got?" her answer of "you can only get one at a time", maybe I look like a dero (derelict) today?
