Does anyone else find it odd that more and more coins keep surfacing?

Makes you wonder if they are dipping into the hoard doesn't it?

Looks like they are reaching for the bottom of the barrel as these latest coins don't seem to be high quality as the early ones.

I wonder if they exchanged some $10 for some $5 because the $10 weren't selling or if it really is people cancelling their order. I really have a hard time believing someone would cancel their 1914 $5 when they are selling for around $1000

How many 1914 $5 coins should be left after the melt?

Any of the coins that remained at the Mint were sent to the boutiques. The Mint has washed their hands of them. There were a small number of them left that were distributed to the boutiques. Good Luck whoever is searching for some.

I hope the number of gold coins sold is not reported in the same manner as the new duck series. It lists the mintage as 10000, however apparently the subscription also has 10000 (which are sold out). That brings the total mintage to 20000, but it's not listed that way anywhere on the RCM website. I hope the numbers released for these gold coins were not done the same way. Seems a little deceptive to me.

The total for the duck series is 10,000, not 20,000. It is 5000 singles and 5000 subscriptions.

That's not what I was told. The rep said there was 10000 of each.

It was sold out last week. I asked the rep (Nadine) to keep an eye out and call me if any cancellation came up (she was able reserve 1 for me that way) but didn't hear back from her since Friday last week.....
