First time poster, glad I found this forum. I've always liked this series and was disappointed not to get the anniversary release a few years back.
I've got the 3 hand picked $5 coins and a 1913 $10 premium coin on the way. I will be getting them graded by ICCS, after I make my grade estimates. I like to have my high end coins certified in case I have to sell them later. I will update later with results from ICCS.

In principle, some gold coins should start shipping this Friday, Dec 28. I checked my order status is "Processing".

Been on the phone, waiting in the cue for 35 minutes today. Anyhow, the representative said they will not be shipping till mid-January or late January.

I just looked at my RCM status and nothing showing delay yet. My (NOTICE OF PRODUCT DELAY)SHOWS NOTHING FOR THE GOLD COIN. Status is "PROCESSING" |

I don't mind the delay so much on this order. I will be actually kind of glad that it might miss my December AMEX billing cycle.
I wonder sometimes if the delays are an attempt to manipulate the monthly (or yearly) revenue that the mint shows.
(i.e. We had a good year with lots of sales in 2012; lets delay shipment of the gold coin orders in 2013 so we don't have to recognize revenue until next year.)
Having said that, the numismatic revenue of $93 million in 2011 only represents about 3% of the total revenue, so a few million dollars here or there may not be significant to them as a whole but maybe for whoever is in charge of that division.
