Jerry_B, congrats!
Thanks for sharing.

Could you tell please (i do not familiar with the non modern coinage grading) - is this condition counts as "good"?

BiBo, I don't think these would have a mirror finish.
Silveroid, it would be better than good. I'm thinking BU. Hoping for MS.
I'll probably take it to the folks at Colonial Acres to see if they think it might be worth slabbing.

Preparing some new pics to upload ....

The reverse side looks very good to my untrained eyes. Thanks for sharing!

I think its MS-62 - MS-64 depending on that group of markings in front of the portraits eye. Looks quite clean to me. NIce coin Jerry. Hofully the diffrence bettween hand select and premium select is the lustre of the coins. Apparently this hand select coin lacks luster. thank you for sharing the pics. Cant wait to receive mine now.

That coin in that capsule and clamshell looks so awesome. I can't wait to have mine in my hands. Why doesn't the mint use the black clamshell more often? I'm sick of the maroon!

Wow, it looks great, I can't wait for my 1914 $5 to arrive. Hopefully it will be in a similar condition.

I received 3 of my 2012 $5 HS today as well... they are so cool. My camera couldn't capture nice close ups so I'm not likely going to post them. It's owning a piece of history!

Have you decided how much you are selling the 1912 $5 coins for?

Very nice!

The reverse looks nice with a chance at being considered mint state, but I would grade the obverse AU based on the field marks, rim dings and what appears to be wear/metal loss on the high points of King George's ceremonial robe (darker areas).

Bibo
The mirror is on PL coins... These are MS coins. They were meant for circulation.

That's so cool, Jerry! Thanks for sharing. Was the 1912 $5 the first to be sold-out?

I don't care much for any RCM clamshell. Actually it might be easier for storage if they all come in slabs.

Yeah, it isn't "extreme" close up, but really nice.
Specially the last one, in the hand.
