Earle42,
Your pets are 180 degrees out of phase. All I know is you have to keep the dog away from the litter box. Dogs love kitty bombs.

crakowski, My ex-wife did the same thing with the 100's . On a lighter note, one time she was doing laundry and called me to come look at the washing machine. I went over and looked inside. There were 100 dollar bills floating all over the surface. I forgot to take my leftover yard sale money out of my pocket and it was being washed with the other clothes. Good thing money can handle a wash and spin cycle (or two).

If I had a cat, I think before I took my coins out for an evening's activity I'd probably send him on a trip to kitty cat nirvana with a nice dose of catnip and a ball of twine left on the floor right next to an open cardboard box...

Quote: Your pets are 180 degrees out of phase. All I know is you have to keep the dog away from the litter box. Dogs love kitty bombs. Aha! So THAT'S why, in the morning when I get up, Kitty comes running out of the washroom with a guilty look about her! Hmm - the top of the litter box is covered though. Oh well - recycling is a good thing right?

Left, That's the classic Halloween pose. Great picture. What's with the large Cannabis plant in the background? Catnip perhaps? Just kidding. This is the stray I take care of. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia. The greatest cat but my current cat tore him up once when I tried to get them better acquainted. That was another vet bill. Picture was taken through a screen and I caught him in the start of a yawn. Cool pic.

I also have a couple of cats that help me sort coins. One in particular, Tommie or "Mama Tom". I will post a photo of her later today. She always wants to be in my lap or on the desk when I start sorting. I recently had $300 in Ikes stacked nice and neat on the desk and decided to step out of the office to get some water. She chose that time to lay on the desk. She had about half of them on the carpet by the time I got back. As soon as I walked up to her she rolled over and wanted me to pet her belly. How could I get mad.
mds308 - Sorry to hear about the little guy with Feline Leukemia. I understand about the Vet bills. We lost our oldest cat that had Diabetes a while back. 2 shots a day for many years. He had a great life and never complained about the shots. I also have a "semi" stray that we take care of. She was abandoned when the neighbors lost their home. It took me about 2 years before she would come in the house with my dog. Now on rainy or cold days she will come in and take a nap. Sometimes next to the dog. She even lets us give her a bath.

My cat Zorro like to.play with my penny rolls, full or empty. I almost always find one roll in the kitchen when I get home from work or a few shreded empty ones in the bedroom. And he always trys to sit in my lap while I'm searching them.

Some folks don't like cats, some folks don't like dogs. I like 'em all! I have had both for most of my life.
My daughter's cat used to sit right on top of my coins when I laid them out on the floor to re sort the collection. I don't lay them on the floor any more!
Note: There is only ONE black cat in the whole World. It has the uncanny ability to turn up everywhere!

Mine will pull full rolls out of the box, and likes to lay in the pile of empty wrappers. Such a pest.

I kept finding BU pennies all over the trailer....I finally caught the crook...my kitty, "Purry", BUSTED....I try not to let coins drop, as I read vets commonly have to do surgery on cats n dogs who swallow coins...a dangerous, and expensive proposition... The Dog could care less, and, "Little Girl" and "BK"(for Barn Kitty), prefer kibbles over coins! Happy Hunting. Cal
