Picked up 16 FV of Walking Liberty halves, frankies, and kennedies (mostly walkers) and some Washington quarters for 10.6x per face value! Thats below melt right there
Lately?, a little of this n that. A few weeks ago, 5 prospectors a couple of name brand 1 oz. bars. Then, a single hologram ASE. Added ten grams of gold, 20 oz. of J&M 1 oz. bars, and three Ethereum crypto coins. Crypto is now eating into my PM $'s. I'm kind of over spent now as well.
Both have the same serial # And another one for they will mint any subject trying to make a buck can't believe they sold a lot of these when coined. Made to commemorate a TV show airing.
I bought 7, 1940's Walking Liberty halves on ebay for melt value (aka junk silver). I'll add the 7 walkers to other halves and bullion I will accumulate via ebay and local craigslist over the next few months. Local cl is a great place to buy when sellers are in a hurry to get cash.
I'll keep the old US coins I like, and I'll keep ALL the bullion. Then I'll locally sell the junk silver I do not wish to keep. I've been doing this for a couple years and earn about a 10% profit on what I sell because I am never in a hurry to sell...win-win for me.
Meanwhile, I'll keep working at my full-time job with a fair wage because I know I will not get rich doing the above
berto, your doing exactly what I'm doing! I buy some 90% from a pawn shop that sells it below spot and then flip it for a tiny bit and keep the profits.
For example I picked up 170 fv of halves, quarters and dimes from the pawn shop that I go to. I got it for 12x per face value. Flipped nearly all of it for 12.5x. Got all my money back + some extra silver as profit.
