This collection has so much, but also is incredibly difficult to price out due to lack of details. Seller is solid, but how can a seller expect someone to shell out this kind of dough on an auction that has scant details? Pictures are not good enough to price this out, because pictures show some of the same items over and over from different angles.

"Retail value more than $600,000"
Buy it now price: $350,000
The look on your face when you find out that the first figure is wrong after shelling out $350,000....priceless.

I saw a large bag of Buffalo nickels in one picture- if they are all or mostly dateless, that's 15 cents a coin, if they are partial dates, that's 25-35 cents a coin, if they are full dates, that's 50 cents to a dolalr a coin. Just that one item alone could price from 600-$4000 range absed on condition.

There just is no way to price this thing out. I have no doubt it is a valuable collection with lots of key dates, BU silver, Morgans, etc. It's just not reasonable to expect someone to click buy-it-now without a whole lot more detail.

that collection isn't worth that much. One could just buy 1000 count bags of morgans, and 1000 FV bags of dimes, quarters and half dollars and then buy bags of wheaties, etc and have a collection better than that.

Also dateless buffs can be gotten for cheaper than 25 cents if you buy bulk.

Is any one tempted to offer him $1 and hope he accidentally accepts?

Jeez, if it sells, I'd do it all day long. Unfortunately, no such sale. Noobs possibly dont have the $$s, and those in the know will stay away. That crip passes me off.
BTW, that Bahama set on BST is a nice one. I'd jump, but have 2 already. I found my avatar in a garage sale with only one piece in the case. Muy bueno.

You know the interesting part, I wonder if he attributed any of them. If not, you may have some interesting coins there!

My collecting stage at this time has changed from quantities to quality, debating when I need to sale my extra, but like vermontensium suggested "Something maybe of interest in those coins there!" Imagine finding errors and varieties.

That's a good point. A collection this large should have some varieties and errors to discover.
