I couldn't wait to post this one. You only get 1 picture but you should have no problem figuring this "FUN" one out.

I gather the word "Fun" is supposed to be a clue. But since I know about as much about VAMs as I do about sewage treatment, I don't have a guess.

Still trying to determine EDS versus LDS. Apparently that makes a huge difference.

Visit VAMWorld and look for "FUN with 21".

I have been setting my 1921 M aside; however, I ventured over there to look for this cool coin. My guess is Vam1j...die break a in states. Hope SDave 's characteristic identify it as late die for you...

Dave: I guess the Vamworld 1J page lists your MS65 coin? Wasn't it just on TT?

Yeah, that's my coin listed on the 1J page. I'm told since that the price would have at least doubled had I gone the Heritage route, but I didn't lose money on the resale and it went to someone I respect greatly in the world of VAMming. I don't now about the TT coin - never saw it. I'm a one-armed paperhanger today; bear with me and I'll get some images up. I have to edit detail images from it. In the meantime: http://www.coincommunity.com/us_dol...n_dollar.aspThat's a different example I've owned; I did all the 1921 VAM pages here at CCF and those coins all passed through my collection. The key for LDS is the development of the break over TA. It has to be complete and displaced, as you see it in the detail image, at the denticle end. Prior to that point, it looks like two parallel die cracks extending from the A - the very last part to develop is the connecting break under the space between two denticles. Note also the "drawing" of the date. This was a very old die by that point; you rarely see that effect from Philly or Denver coins.

The break on my coin is completey raised and actually quite pronounced. The crack above TED is also raised and severe.
I would be inclined to say LDS. Too bad my coin is VF/XF and I see hairlines so it will never make it into a slab.

Thanks for the link to the 1921 VAM page here on CCF. I wasn't aware there was one. Also, what is TT. I assume it is a broker.

That's Teletrade, one of the major auction houses. I haven't forgotten you guys; I'm just dealing with a whole lot of stuff including being sick for the first time in nearly a decade, and frankly I'm kinda miserable as a result. If you give me the slightest chance, I'm going to dissolve into whining.
