No, this is not a duplicate post, for the most part. I was browsing for my friend who is putting his slabbed 7070 together and found this 1867 Shield nickel With Rays variety and wanted to see what the CCF thought.

Man, those are some CRAZY die obverse die cracks!!

I would grade this at EF-40.

Definitely like this one much better. W/ Rays rarer than w/out Rays and in better condition...

These two may be a good candidates for the PCGS Double slab...for comparison purposes, but it would be harder store.

I agree with EF40 and it's possibly the last strike from that obverse die. Nice example!

Me thinks EF-40 very nice it might just reach EF-45. Fantastic later die state example here.
