What is the source for this information? The mint website still says "ships on 12/12/2012".

Maybe wait a week or two?
Could be that the lack of supply resulting from this delay will drive up the price for those who have them in hand. Especially if buyers want them for Christmas gifts.

That's what I am thinking. Since I don't need a set for Christmas, I can sell the one that I have while waiting for my RCM order to be filled. |

I haven't even got my Santa coin yet. The messed up the Olympics and Calgary Stampede coins. Please mint don't ruin Christmas.

I got the grosbeak 3 weeks ago... was not quick enough on the penny set. Ordered from JandM...they said they will call me back about the status...but still havnt. Placed the order the day after mint.ca sold out the set |

I think they contacted everyone that ordered the 5 penny set at the time to let them know they couldn't fill them all. |

They keep delaying the release of the set. At first it was the end of October, then November, and the most recent release date was supposed to be December 12th. Now it's late December. All those people who expected to give them as Christmas gifts are completely screwed now.
They have released them to many of the dealers already. Colonial Acres has 10 of them in stock at $300 bucks each.
I smell a rat. It's as if they're intentionally not releasing them to regular buyers to give the dealers a chance to capitalize on the premium price. By the time we get them, many of the buyers who want to pay the premium would have already bought them from a dealer. I think they're trying to hurt the flippers, in favor of the dealers. It's BS.

RoyalSilver what is your order number for the penny set I have 10891 and was told by J$M that any order # under that would get the set not sure where the cut off number is though
