it's that time of year, my girlfriend is somewhat into coin collecting but LOVES the "pretty shiny colorful coins"

i am close to colonial acres so if you could link me to an item on their sight it would be nice but ebay or the RCM site is also good!

she's 19 year old girl, who loves animals! give me your best shot!

EDIT: my budget is 150$ (i just spend 300$ on a birthday ring for her yesterday)!

GO

does she likes Christmas coins? I recommend the lenticular coin. Relatively cheap and nice.

just edited it, I would like to keep it at 150$ before taxes (just spent 300$ yesterday on her birthday)

she loves "cute animal coins" she has an obsession for the taku, might look into the great white shark 1oz, or try to find the taku with the case and water. but would love to see some better ideas

I don't know if you want to stick with Canadian... But if not the Fiji Taku (turtle) is a beautiful coin! Or the Alaska mint series is nice for animals... And both the Alaskins as well as the Taku can be bought with the animal in gold relief... It will cost a bit more but if she likes "shiny" then you can't go wrong!
The first my wife bought was a 2000 Alaskin mint gold relief red fox... And now she's hooked... Lol... Every store we went to was full of nice coins, & she wouldn't even look much... Nothing really caught her eye... Then another day at a different shop she saw the fox and before I could even walk over to see what she was looking at she had her purse open to buy it...
Now she has most of the Alaska series... If she likes animals you can't go wrong..
I wish I could post pics.. But can't with an iPhone... But truly beautiful designs.. The reverse of the 2000 fox is the Alaska state seal and its got great detail, really nice image!
Anyways, hope this helps... Good luck!

swrbxxx, she's a pretty wealthy girl, with atleast 8 or 9 200-300$ coach purses, our agreed budget can't afford something like that (college kids) she doesn't even use them :S but seems to always buy more, haha we agreed on stuff we WANT. it's a good idea but I think she'll enjoy it just as much as her cookie monster coin hhaa, and NathanASE can you provide some links?

Lol, in the time I wrote my reply you mentioned she had the Taku.. Great coin!
The Alaskan mint "coins" are technically "medallions"... But really nice! They have many different series including wildlife, Alaska state (animals), marine life, those in need (endangered animals)... Etc... And there all really nice..
Here's a link to there main medalion page.. You can choose your category from here.
But... you can find them for WAY cheaper on ebay etc.. On there site there north of $100... The goldplated's around $150-$180... But we got ours in shops and online for between $50-$70... If I were you I'd just use there main site as a reference point and then when you see one you want to buy search elsewhere to actually purchace... Lol
