What grade would this one get if I submitted to NGC?

WOW!...Do we have a high MS uncleaned Half Dime here? Hope that's just gunk and not corrosion...That's one heck of a 170+ year old coin!

Mid AU. Hard to tell if original surfaces or not.

If there are no luster breaks that coin could go MS63. On the low end it should be no worse than AU55. The obverse is beautiful. The reverse holds it back.

I will go with AU-53, possible AU-55. Nice coin!

I'd agree with AU-55 and I don't see any problems. If luster is full in the fields (it doesn't seem to be based on these images) there could be a mint state piece hiding under the tone.

An attractive, original-looking coin, an excellent type example.

Who cares on one this nice, send it in and get it safeguarded in the holder at the least. It's a super collector example, above average with fantastic eye appeal.
