Cool!
With prices in flux (a euphemsim for declining) for the undoubled coin, I think it would be hard to say what this would be worth.
I think it is likely worth a small premium to the undoubled coin, but the key question might be what the undoubled coin is worth.
Also, it seems that there tend to be two groups of collectors of this sort of stuff out there.....those that want high mint state coins that will pay quite a bit for them and those that like lower grade stuff but want to pull them from circulation or pay a modest price. This coin might be stuck between the two groups.
If the doubling was on the date I think it would attract a larger audience.

Nice...nice find errorrorre...Smallcentguy makes good points. I've noticed that the "D" has "notching" as part of the " Machine Doubling"...Nice find and thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your replies, and Smallcentguy, I understand what you're saying regarding collectors and what they may be looking for. Myself, I just like the coin for what it is, but it's kind of nice at the same time to have an idea of it's possible value. I think you're right about the the doubling on the coin and how it would have been more attractive had it been on the date instead of the lettering.
Thanks for your comment, too, regarding the notching, change4thebetter. I'm glad you saw that and made reference to it...I wasn't sure, but thought it might be....I'm happy that you saw the same thing.

Sorry for this newbie post...only my second since registering....but what is the value of the 2006 Canadian penny: no P, no RCM and magnetic? I happen to have 24 of them! Any help is appreciated!

That is the problem with valuing this coin.... There seemn to be a lot of circulated coins of this variety out there. For circulated coins. say EF to AU, I am guessing the value is $25 and falling. There don't seem to be a whole lot of new MS 65 and MS66 coins showing up on ebay, so I am thinking the high grade copies remain pretty scarce.

thanks smallcentguy! Seems to be the same problems with stamps sometimes (I also collect stamps). And you will only get what people are willing to pay for regardless of what the book value is! If I wanted to sell these pennies, can you advise on the best course of action? ebay?

I can probably let you know what these go for. I just posted one on ebay as a 'grade for yourself'. I didn't check for doubling etc...I tried to put decent pictures so a buyer can get a good idea of the condition. I listed it for $5 plus shipping as I have no idea what to expect. I had one that was graded MS 65 and it's not even close to that imo...though I was surprised when the other one was graded MS 65 so what do I know.lol
