Just sorted about 100 pennies 1938 to 1947 and discovered 10 with brokage, seems awfully high to me.
Particularly for 1941 with 4 Melb, 2 x K.G and 1 x Y.

The others were 1 x 42 and 2 x 44.
Won't be easy to get pics but I could try.
Any one have any knowledge or opinions?
Thanks darge.

I would say that what you ahve found is unlikely to be brockage. I reckon you have die clash or probably more likely ghosting which is very common in early KGVI pennies. Can you post pictures.

I wil try to get some pictures. I am not experienced at all so I'm only guessing when I call it brokage.
The image is reversed - is that any help?
Ghosting is a fairly good description of these ... perhaps.

You can see a faint outline of KGVI, flipped over on ther reverse? Sounds like ghosting. Like I said its very common on early KGVI copper. If you dont have any then keep a couple. Theyre certainly not worth the big bucks like full brockages would be :(
