I received this coin from my Father prior to his passing. It seems the error follows the motto perfectly. I checked other various sites and couldn't find anything to compare. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This looks like it could have been stamped on while in circulation.

It looks like some sort of counterstamp, not a mint error. A counterstamp is a stamp applied to a coin after it has been made, and not by the mint. Still an interesting curiosity!

Would love to see a pic of the whole coin, front and back. Pretty sure it's a counterstamped coin and the other side will show a flat worn looking spot opposite the stamp usually.

I scanned both sides of the coin. As far as the other side, it appears whatever was pressed almost came through the coin. I'm still confused as to how someone can counterstamp and have it line up perfectly with the Motto. I'm new to this so take that for what it is. Thanks for the responses.

Counter stamped just my opinion. Post mint damage not an error.
Could do with an acetone dip and some verdicare to stop that corrosion

Counter stamp. Looks like an '05.'
