I have been collecting Standing Liberty quarters for a very long time. I have a complete set and try to upgrade to fully struck coins. That's full rivets on the shield, lines on the inner shield, 10 toes and the sash buttons with the crease line between the sash buttons when possible. I'm not tied to full heads because many full head coins don't have a full strike. Some years and mints are extremely difficult if not impossible to find with a full strike or even close to one. I don't know who decided that a full head was the best designator for SLQ's quality but finding fully struck SLQ's is way more of a challenge than full heads. I'll take a full or nearly so full strike anytime over a full head because most of the time full heads are not even close to full strikes. A SLQ with a full strike will usually but not always have a full head also. Type I SLQ's 1916-1917 are not hard to find with full strikes. Type II SlQ's 1917-1924 also have some very strong strikes. Type III SLQ's 1925-1930 can be very difficult to impossible to find with all the shield rivets let alone the sash buttons with the crease line connecting them, inner shield lines and 10 toes. The highest graded set of all time in the PCGS registry was all full head coins but had many coins lacking all the shield rivets. Many MS-67 and MS-68 graded coins lack full or even close to full strikes. Enough of my ramblings. Merry Christmas to all. Here are a few of my SLQ's. 1917 ![Anyone-Working-On-An-SLQ-Collection-[-1916-1930-]-?](http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o106/1946hamm/1917eaglebeakFHObv_zps87f4c9fc.jpg) 1925 ![Anyone-Working-On-An-SLQ-Collection-[-1916-1930-]-?](http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o106/1946hamm/1925obv_zpsb95c5fae.jpg) 1917-S 1917-D ![Anyone-Working-On-An-SLQ-Collection-[-1916-1930-]-?](http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o106/1946hamm/1917-DObv.jpg) 1916 Let's see some more of what you have.

Has anybody else noticed that LIBERTY's left foot/toes are not on the the TYPE II's? You can see her toes on the Type I's. Her gown as a whole is pretty much different, less detailed. The shield rivets. Would you consider the Type I's "High Relief" like the 1921 Peace dollar? Nice die cracks on the date of your Type II!

Wow, those are outstanding. Hoping to find some higher qualities when I examine the old family stash this week. Not optimistic though... when I glanced at them last month they all looked heavily worn.

Only have a few despite really enjoying the design. Perhaps when I'm older and have more income to work with I will make an attempt at collecting them. ![Anyone-Working-On-An-SLQ-Collection-[-1916-1930-]-?](https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/uploaded/Joe2007/20121223_1926-SSLQNGCAU55.jpg) ![Anyone-Working-On-An-SLQ-Collection-[-1916-1930-]-?](https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/uploaded/Joe2007/20121223_1929SLQPCGSMS65.jpg)
